Wanderer, trading as Wanderer Tours and Travel, is a Cape Town company that plans and runs private tours for one party at a time. The about page calls it "a private Cape Town tour operator helping travellers experience the Mother City through personalised tours, local insight and carefully planned itineraries," and the homepage promises "We do not bundle guests with strangers." It says it "has operated Cape Town tours since 2014," describes itself as "A registered South African tour operator working with Western Cape guides," and shows badges for SATSA membership and Cape Town Tourism alongside "4.9" from "306 Google reviews."

The day tours cover Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula, the Winelands of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl and Constantia, the Whale Coast around Hermanus, and the West Coast. Multi-day trips run east along the Garden Route to Mossel Bay, Wilderness, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Tsitsikamma, with Oudtshoorn as an optional detour. The same company owns Wanderer Johannesburg, Jetski Cape Town in Hout Bay and Quad Biking Cape Town at the Atlantis Dunes, according to the about page.

Day tours, wine tours and safaris

It also compares a planned trip with self-drive, saying "Neither is simply better." Trips can start from a Cape Town hotel or the airport and can end elsewhere, such as Gqeberha or a safari lodge. Guide languages other than English are not stated, and the site says nothing about wheelchair access or step-free vehicles, though it does say vehicle types can be matched to the group.

Wanderer suits travelers who want Cape Town on their own schedule: a private Cape Point or Winelands day, a whale-season trip to Hermanus, a timed port day off a cruise ship, or a Garden Route journey planned end to end.
