Green Valley Nepal Treks is a trekking company based in Kathmandu that runs its own guided treks, peak climbs and tours in Nepal, with tour packages in Tibet and Bhutan as well. The homepage calls it "a government-registered local trekking company in Kathmandu" working since 2010, and the header shows Tourism License 1214; the legal name in the footer is Green Valley Nepal Treks & Research Hub Pvt. Ltd. Its treks cover the Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, Manaslu, Mustang, Makalu and Kanchenjunga regions, and its day activities are based around Pokhara and Kathmandu. Prices are shown in US dollars per person.

The homepage counts 71 trekking itineraries, 15 peak climbing itineraries, 58 tours in Nepal, 5 helicopter tours and 4 wildlife tours. The menu lists the treks by region and length. In the Annapurna region: the 14 Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek, a 6-day ABC Trek from Pokhara, the 9-day Mardi Himal Trek, the 12-day Annapurna North Base Camp Trek and a 3-day Poon Hill Trek from Pokhara. The team page says Executive Director Arjun Pandey oversees trekking, tour and peak climbing operations in Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet.

Guides and how trips run

The team page is unusually detailed. Managing Director Rajendra Lamichhane (Raj) is described as having more than 19 years in Nepal's tourism industry, starting as a porter, and Arjun Pandey, from Gorkha, as having more than 10 years leading trekking, tour and mountaineering programs. Most of the guides profiled say they began as porters before earning a government trekking guide license, and several list first aid training and English language training with KEEP. Airport representative Sailesh Gurung meets arriving guests at Tribhuvan International Airport. The about page says its guides are "government-licensed guides trained in first aid, altitude sickness management, and mountain safety," and it names "comprehensive insurance coverage" and "helicopter rescue partnerships"; these are the company's statements. It lists affiliations with TAAN, the Nepal Tourism Board, the Nepal Mountaineering Association, KEEP and the Himalayan Rescue Association, and says porters are "Provided with proper gear, insurance, and ethical working conditions."

Reviews on the homepage add practical detail in customers' words: airport pick-up, tea house bookings, a 4WD jeep between Jomsom and Lo Manthang on a Mustang Tiji festival tour, and a guide who lent sleeping bags and down jackets and gave out water purification tablets.

What the site does not settle

The deposit amount, the refund rules for a cancellation, and what each trek price includes are not set out on the homepage, team or about pages. The site does not state maximum group sizes. The Lifetime Deposit covers Nepal trips only, so Tibet and Bhutan bookings fall outside it, and the site does not explain what applies to those instead. The site also does not explain the paired prices on several trek cards.
