A Savannah ghost tour company with its own guides

6th Sense World runs its own ghost walks and cemetery tours in Savannah, Georgia, and nowhere else. The homepage invites visitors to "Join the OG Savannah ghost tour led by local guides," describing "our woman-owned tour company" with "over two decades of sixth sensing." The footer says the company has been "Serving Savannah, Georgia, since 1995," and the homepage says it is "Celebrating 25 years of excellence and masterful storytelling." All tours are walking tours in Savannah's Historic District or at Bonaventure Cemetery, and prices are in US dollars.

The site leans on history and recognition. It calls itself "the leading tour company in uncovering Savannah's haunted history and heritage," says it was among the winners of TripAdvisor's 2024 Travelers' Choice Award, which it explains as "Top 10% of Attractions Worldwide," and mentions appearances on Wheel of Fortune, Scariest Places on Earth, The Travel Channel, Georgia Traveler and the L.A. Times, as well as "the USA TODAY list of TOP 10 Tours." It also says it is a proud founding member of The Savannah Association of Local Tours (SALT). On the America's Most Haunted City tour page, the company says that "In 2002, we were the recipients of the America's Most Haunted City® Award on behalf of the City of Savannah, from the esteemed American Institute of Parapsychology."

The Sixth Sense Savannah Ghost Tour

This is the company's "original and time established classic," which it also calls "The Truthseeker's Tour." It lasts 2 hours over "Approximately 1/2 mile." Adults 16+ pay $36, military (active and veterans), youths aged 4 to 15 and seniors 65+ pay $32. Start times are "7 p.m. (all ages) and 8:00 pm, 9:30 pm, 10:00 pm (Age 16+ only)," with "times subject to seasonal change."

The page says that "Previous to 2002, no ghost storytelling occurred in this Southern Historic District neighborhood," and that the company "unveiled and pioneered this area's haunted history through exploring it for 12 years, garnering stories from many friends and neighbors." It adds that episodes of Scariest Places On Earth and Ghost Hunters were filmed in the neighborhood "because of our investigations," and it promises "the insider's scoop on Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil." Highlights listed include The Espy House ("Gangsters & ghosts"), The Mercer House ("A killer house"), Dr. Corson Mansion ("X-rays & exorcism"), Old Candler Hospital / Morgue Tunnels and Taylor Square ("A lost cemetery found").

The tour meets at the corner of Abercorn and Jones Street. The page gives Clary's Cafe, 404 Abercorn St., as a GPS landmark only and asks guests to use street parking, not the cafe's lot.

America's Most Haunted City Tour and Bonaventure Cemetery

The America's Most Haunted City Tour lasts "90 minutes" over a "1/2 mile leisurely stroll," with prices of $32 for an individual and $28 for military and for youths aged 4 to 15. Start times are "8 p.m. or 9 p.m. for private option." The tour goes back to the pre-colonial beginnings of the city's haunted reputation and visits the site of a witch execution, the city's oldest cemeteries, haunted 19th-century hotels and, as its finale, a house "that has been exorcised four times and that Duke University called 'America's most psychically possessed house.'" The highlights list names Alice Riley, The Marshall House, Laura's Cottage, the 17Hundred90 Inn (Room 204), the Juliette Gordon-Low Home, Colonial Park Cemetery and the Hampton Lillibridge house. It meets at the corner of Bull & Broughton Streets (1 East Broughton Street). A note on the page says that since September 1st, 2020, all tickets are a flat "individual" rate for every age allowed, with a military, law enforcement and first responder discount, and that ages 3 and under are free on daytime and early evening tours.

The Historical Daytime Bonaventure Cemetery Tours are $36 for 2 hours, at 10am and 2pm. The site says "the famous Bonaventure Cemetery has been voted in the top 10 most beautiful cemeteries in the world." One review on the homepage praises a guide who explained the symbolism on gravestones, and another says the guide brought umbrellas on a rainy afternoon.

How the tours work

The rules are listed on each tour page. Tours run "rain or shine," so guests should dress for the weather and bring a camera and good walking shoes; the Sixth Sense page adds water and bug spray. Photography is allowed without flash at night, but video is not, and the America's Most Haunted City page also rules out audio. There are no restroom stops. Smoking is not allowed on tours under a city ordinance, and pets are limited to service animals. On access, the Sixth Sense page says "All sidewalks and parks have handicap access," and the America's Most Haunted City page says "All sidewalks and streets have handicap access." Savannah's open container ordinance applies, and "unruly patrons may be asked to leave without a refund."

Booking and terms

The ghost tours page says tours "operate year-round with advance reservations purchased online. NO WALK-UPS." It adds that "Tickets always good until redeemed," that printed tickets are not required, and that guests should "Double-check tour starting location," and the footer warns that "Tours start at different locations!" What the site leaves open, and who it suits

The tour pages give no maximum group size, and they do not say what happens to a booking if a guest cannot come on the day, beyond the note that tickets stay good until redeemed. The 16+ limit on the later Sixth Sense departures is clear, but the site does not explain what content changes between the family and adults-only times.

The company's strengths are its long local record, detailed stop lists, published prices and times, and clearly marked meeting points for the ghost walks. It suits visitors who want a storytelling ghost walk in Savannah's Historic District, families on the 7pm departure or the daytime cemetery tour, and fans of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Anyone who needs a guaranteed refund policy should ask before booking.
