Bike rentals and guided rides in US and European cities

Unlimited Biking rents bikes and runs guided bike tours from its own shops in cities across the United States and Europe. The about page says it "opened its doors in 2010 in New York City with just fifty bicycles and one bike tour," and that it has since "grown to include nineteen cities worldwide, over eighty guided tours." The city menu lists Alexandria VA, Hilton Head Island SC, Miami FL, New York NY, San Diego CA, San Francisco CA, Santa Monica CA, Washington DC and Sanibel Island FL in the US, and Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Florence, London, Milan, Munich, Paris, Rome and Versailles in Europe. The company also sells franchises ("Interested in opening your own Unlimited Biking? Join the family"), though the site does not say which cities are franchised.

The company's stated mission is "to inspire exploration through personalized biking experiences that connect people with new destinations and communities," and it says "The best way to experience a new city like a local is by bike!" The about page also claims "millions of people choosing to explore with Unlimited Biking" and states an aim to be "the global leader in personalized biking experiences." The homepage adds "thousands of happy customers" and says the company has been "dedicated to sharing our passion for biking for over ten years." The vision statement adds "We supply everything you need to explore exciting and beautiful new locations." US prices are shown in dollars.

Tours and rentals

The homepage lists popular guided tours with a duration and a starting price for each:

Rentals come in a wide range. The European shops offer a Comfort City Bike; the US shops offer men's and women's Comfort Hybrids, Aluminum and Carbon Road Bikes and Tandems. Electric Bikes, Kids Bikes, Burley Trailers and Tag-a-longs are listed in every city, and a Baby seat in most. The homepage shows Central Park Bike Rentals "Starting at $12.5 | All Ages | Up to One Month Rental!" and Sanibel Island rentals from $15. It says "Quality and safety always come first at Unlimited Biking" and that the fleet includes "high-quality Cannondale and Specialized bikes." Aluminum Road Bikes are also listed for Los Angeles and Tandems for Boston, although neither city appears in the main city menu.

Beyond tours and rentals, the menu lists a BikePASS, Cycling Events, a Concierge service, a Shop and group bookings for 15 or more. The events page promotes rides such as Cycle for the Cause, the California Coast Classic Bike Tour, IRONMAN 70.3 New York and the Denver Century Ride, all dated September 2026.

Shops, hours and the day itself

The locations page gives an address, phone number and seasonal hours for every shop. New York has 2: Central Park at 56 W 56th St (8am to 8pm from April 1 to October 31, 9am to 5pm from November 1 to March 31) and Brooklyn Bridge at 79 Chambers St (9am to 7pm in season). San Francisco's shop is at Fisherman's Wharf, 757 Beach Street, with the same 8am to 8pm season as Central Park, and Washington DC's is at 701 D St NW, also 8am to 8pm in season. Alexandria's shop is at 1199 N Fairfax Street, San Diego's at 330 K Street, Santa Monica's at 1431 Ocean Ave and Hilton Head Island's at 37 New Orleans Rd. Miami Beach (1149 Washington Ave) and Milan open all year, 9am to 7pm and 9am to 5pm respectively, and Amsterdam (Overtoom 45) opens 9am to 5pm all year. In Europe, Paris stays open to 8pm in season and Florence to 6pm; Barcelona switches to 10am to 6pm in winter. European shops include London at 135a Mepham St, Berlin at Panoramastraße 1A, Munich at Karlsplatz 4, Paris at 24 Rue Edgar Faure, Rome at Via dei Delfini 35, Florence at Via dei Cimatori 9R and Barcelona at Carrer dels Escudellers 48. Versailles (10 Av. du Général de Gaulle) opens 9am to 7pm from March 1 to September 30 and is closed from December 1 to the end of February, and the Sanibel Island shop is listed as "Opening May 2026," then daily 9AM to 5PM.

For children, the site lists kids' bikes, tag-a-longs, trailers and baby seats, and the Central Park rentals are billed as "All Ages." The homepage does not publish a minimum age for its guided tours.

Booking and terms

Tours and rentals are reserved online through "Reserve Now" buttons, and support is available by phone (NY 212-749-4444, SF 415-854-2222, DC 202-842-2453) and live chat. Every page carries the same cancellation line: "FREE CANCELLATION UP TO 24 HOURS BEFORE EXPERIENCE," with events excluded. A newsletter signup offers 10% off the next ride, gift cards are sold, and groups over 15 get "a personalized custom experience." The footer also lists Travel Trade and Affiliate programs for businesses.

What the site does not settle

The homepage and about page do not give a group-size cap for the regular guided tours, the languages guides speak, or what the tour price includes (helmet, lock, water). The terms behind the 24-hour cancellation line sit on a separate Cancellation Policy page, and the site does not explain what BikePASS or the Concierge service covers. European tour prices are not shown on the homepage.

Unlimited Biking suits visitors who want an easy, short guided ride past a city's sights, or a rental bike from a central shop for a few hours or longer, especially in New York, San Francisco and Washington DC, where it has several popular tours. Families are well served by the kids' equipment. Riders wanting a multi-day cycling holiday should look elsewhere; this is a city-by-city rental and day-tour business.
