A Prague cooking school with a studio and a farm

Chef Parade (written Chefparade on the site) runs its own cooking classes in the Czech Republic. Its tagline in Czech calls it the largest cooking school in the country, and its studio page describes the Holešovice studio as the largest by capacity of any cooking school studio in the Czech Republic. The school works from two places: the studio at Bubenské nábř. 306/13, building 36, 170 00 Praha 7 - Holešovice, inside the Holešovice market (Holešovická tržnice), and Chefparade Statek, a renovated farm in the village of Sukorady near Mladá Boleslav, which the site puts 30 minutes by car from Černý Most on the edge of Prague. Its office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, and bookings go to +420 730 155 087 or rezervace@chefparade.cz. Prices are in Czech koruna.

The English page says the school has been on the Czech market "since 2007," runs "More than 50 courses," and has had "100,000 satisfied participants." The footer also links to Chefparade Slovakia and Chefparade Hungary and to a kitchen shop, Chefshop.

Classes and what they cost

Most classes are taught in Czech, and the site keeps a separate listing of courses in English and a "Cooking for tourists" section. On the English page, the upcoming class is Steaks and Sauces at the Holešovice studio, taught in English, on 10/10/2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with 10 places available, and again on 11/24/2026 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM with 12 available, both at CZK 3,490.

The Czech catalog is much larger. The course search lets visitors filter by location, Praha 7 - Holešovice or Sukorady u Mladé Boleslavi, so public classes run at the farm as well as in the city. Its categories cover farm courses, sushi, fish and seafood, Asia and exotic cuisines, steaks and meat, European cuisine, sweet courses and children's cooking courses. Dates listed on the homepage include an Italian basics class, an American cuisine class and a Mediterranean class, each at 3 490 Kč, and children's classes such as street food, sushi and pizza for kids at 1 890 Kč. The English FAQ confirms the pricing: "The cooking class for adults costs 3.490 CZK and the price for children's cooking classes is 1890 CZK."

That price covers more than the lesson. The FAQ lists "a box full of ingredients for your cooking, some nice drinks and high-quality wine paired with food by our sommelier," and the page says an apron is waiting for each participant. Gift vouchers can be bought for any course, and the Czech homepage runs a "3+1" offer: buy 4 identical vouchers with that code and pay for 3. The English FAQ suggests vouchers as presents with examples from the catalog: an Italian class, a baking course, a BBQ course or a sushi class for two.

How a class runs

The English page describes a class as lasting "3-4 hours," in "Small groups (up to 12 participants)," with practical tips from one of the school's chefs, whom it describes as experienced and with restaurant backgrounds. It is aimed at beginners and advanced cooks alike: "Draw inspiration for excellent family lunches and dinners from our experienced and creative chefs, and surprise the one you love with your new skills!"

The school also answers a question many cooking schools leave open: there is no minimum. "Even if it's just you, the course will take place," the FAQ says. The menu also offers individual courses (Individuální kurzy) and a Last minute section for dates with free places. Customer reviews on the homepage, all in Czech, praise named chefs such as Lukáš; they are the school's own selection. The homepage course cards show a review count for each class and the number of free places left, which makes it easy to see how full a date is before booking.

Team building, weddings and hire

Company events are a large part of the business. The team-building page describes the format: a welcome with light refreshments, teams formed by group size, ingredients and recipes prepared at each station, about 2 hours of cooking with a chef, and about 1.5 hours of eating and games. Events can be held in Holešovice, where the two studios can be joined into one space of 330 m² for up to 100 people for a cooking event, at the farm for up to 100, or at a venue the client chooses. The farm has a conference barn and accommodation for up to 24 people, with space for grilling, herb picking and bread baking. The site says the school has more than 15 years of experience with courses and team-building events, offers to add games such as guessing spices by smell or sorting pulses with chopsticks, and the enquiry form has a box to request the quote in English, which helps international companies based in Prague.

The team-building FAQ sets out payment: a deposit invoice is issued in advance and the balance after the event, and card payment is possible if agreed beforehand. Guests may not bring their own drinks; the studio sells soft drinks, wine, bottled beer, Prosecco, coffee and tea. Corporate enquiries go to firemniakce@chefparade.cz or +420 734 311 772. The studios can also be rented for training, press conferences or photo shoots, for up to 120 people, and the site offers weddings and private parties.

What the site leaves open, and who it suits

The English page lists only the Steaks and Sauces dates, so most of the catalog is in Czech. The FAQ does not state the cancellation or rescheduling rule for a public class; the footer links to business terms (Obchodní podmínky) for that. It does not describe dietary options or allergy handling, or step-free access to the studio. The farm is reached by car, and the site does not describe public transport to it.

Chef Parade suits Prague visitors and residents who want a hands-on evening class at a fixed price that includes food and wine, and companies planning a cooking event for a large group. English speakers should check the English listing or the "Cooking for tourists" section first, since the widest choice of dates is in Czech.
