A TUI Group Platform With Its Own Teams on the Ground
TUI Musement is the tours and activities arm of TUI Group, and it sits somewhere between a marketplace and an operator. Its about page says that across more than 100 destinations its team selects "top excursions, activities, attraction tickets and multi-day tours", and it is candid about where they come from: "Some are created by trusted partners, while our signature TUI Musement experiences are designed by us and brought to life by our in‑destination teams and guides." The same page tells the brand's origin story. In 2018 TUI acquired Musement, which it describes as an Italian startup with an online platform for booking excursions, activities and attraction tickets, and combined it with TUI's destination teams, customer service and 50+ years of travel experience. The site footer still carries the name Musement S.p.A, "part of TUI Group".
The reach is wide and leans toward beach and island holiday destinations. The homepage destination menu runs through Tenerife (221 experiences), Majorca (275), Crete (264), Cancun (234), Punta Cana (125), Montego Bay (56), Sal in Cape Verde (55) and Hurghada (61), alongside cities such as Rome (515), Florence (332), Barcelona (422) and Venice (232). Its top-countries list adds Barbados, Japan, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Mauritius, Thailand, Tunisia and Turkey, and a travel inspiration panel speaks of holidays "in more than 90 countries". The UK storefront prices in British pounds, and a currency selector lets visitors switch to euros, US dollars and many other currencies.
Excursions, Tickets, Transfers and Multi-Day Trips
The homepage splits the catalog into TUI Musement experiences (described as "Created by locals"), live events such as theater shows and concerts, recommended activities and a newer multi-day section. The recommended list mixes day trips with airport services and park tickets: a Sal lemon shark experience of 2 to 4 hours, from £26 with 4.6 out of 5 from 6,778 reviews; a Chichen Itza and Cenote Tsukán tour with lunch from £145; a full-day Majorca tour with Port de Soller and Lluc Monastery from £79, shown at 4.3 from 6,040 reviews; a Siam Park entrance ticket from £38; the Club Mobay Airport VIP Lounge in Jamaica from £26; and fast-track clearance at Hurghada airport from £51.
The multi-day section is where the brand's Africa and Mediterranean program shows. The Tunisian Sahara two-day tour of Hollywood film hotspots from Hammamet lists 3 meals, English as its language and a price from £126, with 4.4 from 393 reviews. A similar film-set tour from Sousse starts from £124 at 4.3 from 365 reviews. From Mombasa, a two-day wildlife safari with a stay at Salt Lick Lodge includes 4 meals and starts from £328 (4.7 from 138 reviews), while a four-day Kenyan safari through Tsavo East and Amboseli includes 10 meals and starts from £882, rated 4.5 from 20 reviews. Zanzibar departures reach Nyerere National Park, one two-day version with a bush walk and boat cruise from £651. Closer to Europe, a three-day private Ischia wellness retreat from Sorrento or Naples starts from £521.
Attraction tickets sit on their own pages. The Harry Potter Studios page lists 9 ways to visit the Warner Bros. studio near London, from a transfer from King's Cross St Pancras (8 hours, from £89) and a coach from London Victoria (7 hours, from £99, rated 4.8 from 382 reviews) to a fully guided 6-hour version from £249. Transfers are sold too: the about page mentions thousands of options, from shared buses to private cars, between hotels, airports and sights.
How Tours Run on the Day
Each tour page names the business that delivers it under "Provider", which is the clearest way to tell TUI's own product from a partner's. The Tunisian Sahara tour lists TUI TUNISIA, and the Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius select tour from Sorrento lists TUI ITALIA S.R.L. The Harry Potter options depart from points that include the Golden Tours Baker Street Visitor Centre and a Golden Tours stop on Bulleid Way in Victoria, so those run with a partner coach company.
The Pompeii page is detailed. It runs more than 8 hours with an English-speaking guide, hotel pick-up, entrance fees, lunch and an audio headset in Pompeii, starting from £93 with 4.6 from 962 reviews. The page says groups at the archaeological site are capped at 35 guests, though the coach may carry more, and that bags larger than 30x30x15 cannot go into Pompeii. If weather closes the crater, the refund equals the entrance fee. The page marks the tour not suitable for wheelchairs or guests with reduced mobility and tells guests to bring a hat, suitable footwear and warm clothes.
The Tunisia tour page lists 2 days and 1 night, "Moderate intensity", pick-ups from named Hammamet resort hotels, and a day-by-day route: El Djem Amphitheatre, lunch and the cave homes at Matmata, a night in Douz with an optional camel or carriage ride, then Chott el Jerid, a 4x4 ride to the Onk Jemal film set, lunch in Gafsa and a photo stop at Kairouan. It says drinks are not included, some entrance fees are payable locally, a single room supplement of approximately EUR 15 is paid in cash at the hotel, and children must be supervised by an adult over 18. It also states the tour is not suitable for those with reduced mobility.
Booking, Cancellation and Support
Booking runs through the website and app, which the about page says are "available in multiple languages"; the language menu includes English, French, Polish, German, Italian, Spanish and several Nordic languages. The same page says customers can also book "in any TUI store or with our local teams in destinations around the world". Tour pages show "Instant confirmation", "e-Voucher" or "Mobile voucher accepted", and the Tunisia and Pompeii pages both say "No extra fees are applied to this booking."
On cancellation, the homepage promises "a flexible 24-hour cancellation policy and our value guarantee", and the about page says "most experiences include free cancellation and our Best Value Guarantee". Individual tours set their own windows, which matters. The Tunisia tour gives a 100% refund up to 1 day before it begins, while the Pompeii tour requires 4 days' notice for a full refund. The footer links to a separate cancellation policy page, a help section, a contact page and an accessibility statement.
The about page also describes a Green & Fair label, awarded after a sustainability assessment that it says is based on the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Standard and independently verified by RoyalCert. The company is led by CEO Peter Ulwahn, who the page says has been with the company for over 30 years.
What the Site Leaves Open
The site does not publish a single cancellation window that applies to every product: the homepage speaks of 24 hours, but individual tours ask for anything from 1 day to 4 days, so the tour page is the one to read. The site names the Best Value Guarantee without spelling out its terms. Group sizes appear on some tour pages (35 guests at Pompeii) and not on others, including the multi-day Tunisia trip. The catalog does not flag TUI-run experiences in the listings grid; the "Provider" line on each tour page is where that shows. Prices are shown as "from" figures.
TUI Musement suits holidaymakers staying in a resort that TUI serves, especially in the Canaries, the Balearics, Greece, the Caribbean, Egypt, Cape Verde and Tunisia, who want hotel pick-up, English-speaking guides and a large brand handling the booking. Its multi-day safaris from Mombasa and Zanzibar and its desert trips from Hammamet and Sousse are packaged with meals and accommodation. Travelers after a small independent guide, or a destination missing from the menu, will find a narrower fit, and anyone with mobility needs should read the accessibility notes on each tour, since several of the most popular day trips are marked unsuitable for reduced mobility.
