Barcelona Bus Turístic is a hop-on-hop-off sightseeing bus that runs in Barcelona, Spain, and nowhere else. The site's copyright line belongs to Transports de Barcelona, SA, its top menu links to TMB, and the pricing page calls it "L'únic bus turístic oficial de Barcelona," the only official tourist bus in Barcelona, with the support of Turisme de Barcelona and Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB). The night-tour page adds that Barcelona Bus Turístic is a member of City Sightseeing. So this is the operator itself: it runs the buses, and its own staff guide the special evening routes.

One ticket covers two routes, the Ruta Blava (Blue Route) and the Ruta Vermella (Red Route), with unlimited getting on and off. The buses run daily from 9:00 to 19:00, except on 1 January and 25 December. The site says each route takes about 2 hours and that buses pass every 10 to 25 minutes depending on the season. The pages are available in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian and German, and prices are in euros.

Two day routes and two evening rides

The Blue Route runs from Plaça de Catalunya to the FC Barcelona stadium by way of Passeig de Gràcia, Park Güell, Tibidabo and Pedralbes. The Red Route runs from Plaça de Catalunya to the Arc de Triomf by way of Passeig de Gràcia, Plaça d'Espanya, the Montjuïc Olympic Ring, the Fòrum and the Sagrada Família. The homepage's list of sights along the way includes CaixaForum, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, El Poble Espanyol, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, La Rambla, Parc de la Ciutadella, the Boqueria market, Camp Nou, Palau Sant Jordi and MACBA.

The Barcelona Night Tour Bus is a summer route, guided live by the company's staff, without hop-on-hop-off. The 2026 service ran from 1 June to 13 September, every day, departing at 21:30 from Plaça de Catalunya (a Red Route stop) and lasting about 1 hour 30 minutes. Riders choose Spanish, English or a bilingual Catalan and Spanish commentary, the bilingual option only on Fridays, and the page says the guides are official Turisme de Barcelona guides. Stops named on the route include the Columbus monument, the Drassanes Reials, Torre Glòries and Plaça d'Espanya. The page now says the night tour will return next summer, and the price table marks its season as finished.

The Barcelona Christmas Tour ran from 28 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, except 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January, with departures between 18:00 and 20:30 from Plaça de Catalunya (a Blue Route stop). It is guided live in Catalan, Spanish and English and lasts about 1 hour 20 minutes. The route takes in Passeig de Gràcia, the Sagrada Família Christmas fair, La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, the Sant Pau Modernist site, the Arc de Triomf and the Sant Antoni market, with a Christmas playlist on board. The page says the tour guarantees a seat on the upper deck.

Tickets and prices

Prices are shown twice: an online price, 10% lower, and the standard price paid elsewhere.

• 24 hours: adults 13 to 64 pay 29.70€ online or 33.00€; seniors over 65 and people with a disability over 33% pay 25.20€ or 28.00€; children 4 to 12 pay 16.20€ or 18.00€.
• 48 hours: adults 39.60€ or 44.00€; seniors and people with a disability 35.10€ or 39.00€; children 20.70€ or 23.00€.
• Children under 4 ride free.
• Night Tour: 22.00€ for adults, with a 10.00€ rate shown beside it.
• Christmas Tour: 15,00€ for adults over 13 and 10,00€ for children 4 to 12.

The online discount applies through Hola Barcelona, which the site calls the official store, with the exception of certain specific routes. At the standard price, day tickets are sold at the Hola Barcelona Store in the L3 vestibule of Catalunya metro station, at Turisme de Barcelona tourist information points, and at newspaper kiosks, bookshops and hotels. Night and Christmas tickets are sold only at the Hola Barcelona Store and the tourist information points. Tickets for every route can also be bought on board when seats are available.

On board and on the day

The ticket includes a set of headphones for the audio guide, which the FAQ says comes in 16 languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Dutch, Norwegian, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew and Turkish. The homepage adds free WiFi, a city map and tourist information on board. The night page describes an open-top double-decker, and the pricing page mentions new hybrid vehicles with electric ones coming.

A day ticket does not have to be used on a fixed date: the FAQ says it can be used within 180 days of purchase. Night and Christmas tickets are valid only on the day chosen, and the Christmas tour also needs a booked departure time. For both evening rides the site asks riders to be at the meeting point 20 minutes before departure. Tickets bought through Hola Barcelona can be shown on a phone to the guide on board; for tickets bought through another seller, the FAQ says to ask that seller how to redeem them.

On accessibility, the night-tour page says the buses are adapted for people with reduced mobility and with hearing difficulties, and the Christmas page specifies that the reduced-mobility adaptation is on the lower deck. The homepage also carries a live service-alerts box, which in September 2026 listed closed stops and a full day without service.

Booking terms, and what the site leaves open

The pricing page promises "autodevolucions garantides," guaranteed self-service refunds, on online bookings, and accepts Apple Pay, GPay and Bizum. The general conditions, an FAQ and a contact page are linked from the footer. For groups and businesses, the footer links to bus hire and to a page for travel agencies and points of sale. The Hola Barcelona app sold alongside the bus also offers the Montjuïc cable car, Catalunya Bus Turístic and day trips such as Montserrat and the Costa Brava.

The pricing and FAQ pages do not spell out the refund conditions themselves, such as how late a ticket can be returned. The site describes adapted buses without saying how many wheelchair places each bus has. The Night Tour's child rate appears on the price table without its age band on the night-tour page.

Barcelona Bus Turístic suits visitors who want the city's own sightseeing bus, clear published fares with a discount for booking online, a long-lasting ticket and an audio guide in a wide range of languages. The day routes' commentary is the recorded audio guide, as the site advertises live guiding only for the evening routes, and anyone visiting outside summer and the Christmas season has only the two day routes.
