What Turquaz Balloons is and where it flies

Turquaz Balloons is a hot air balloon company based in Göreme, Cappadocia, Turkey, that flies its own balloons with its own pilots. Its address is Aydınlı Orta Mah. Adnan Menderes Cad. No:24/A, Göreme/Nevşehir, and the homepage says flights leave "from the main take-off point, Cappadocia Goreme, where over 150 balloons take off simultaneously". It sells itself as "Cappadocia's most boutique ballooner", with the tagline "Fly Boutique."

The About page says "Since 2013, Turquaz Balloons has been the leading expert in Cappadocia's skies", and explains that it "started the ballooning operation in 2013 as Maccan Balloons, and now operating under Kelebek Group". The footer lists the group's other companies: Aza Cave, Seki Cave, Kelebek Cave, Sultan Cave, Discovery, Kelebek Travel and Seten. The same page also calls Turquaz "one of the newest hot air ballooning companies in the region".

The company's own figures are "10+ Years of experience", "+8K Flights completed" with a "100% safety record", "+150k Passenger carried" and "99% Customer satisfied". It calls itself "the safest hot air balloon company in Cappadocia" on the strength of that record. These are its claims, not independent ratings. On passenger numbers, the About page adds: "Despite having a small capacity, we proved that we are highly preferred by hosting more than +150k guests only in Cappadocia." It also says the company aims to improve its flight quality "by continuing to renew ourselves every day". The general director, Emre Yavuz, is described as "the youngest hot air balloon pilot of Cappadocia", and the team numbers "25 professionals". The fleet is "10 hot air balloons that can accommodate anywhere from 6 to 28 passengers", and the About page lists registrations such as TC-BOF, TC-BOB, TC-BJI and TC-BOG.

The flights

The flights section shows the options with their basket limits. Turquaz Standard is a "First Ascent" sunrise flight of 60 minutes in "28-person baskets with a maximum of 28 people", and the page says standard flights "are a minimum of 1 hour", which it calls "more than enough to explore most of the Cappadocia valleys".

Turquaz Classic, "our most chosen and recommended one", flies in one of the company's bigger balloons, "limited to 20 people max per basket but our custom made baskets designed for 24 people".

Turquaz Comfort, "Our most famous flight", uses "one of our 425,000 cu.ft balloons, limited to a maximum of 16 people per basket (Designed for 20-person basket)", and is "min. 1 hour in the air".

Another option, the Brothers Flight, is marked "Operated by Brothers Balloon", so it is a partner's flight sold through Turquaz rather than one of its own. It is a "Second Ascent" departure with a basket "up to 28 passengers", "8 compartments accommodating 3–4 passengers each", and a flight of "around 60 minutes, depending on weather conditions".

Every option lists the same inclusions: a champagne toast, a flight certificate, a flight medal, a light breakfast, passenger insurance, and a pick-up and drop-off service. The About page explains the thinking: "By only using smallest balloons in the region, we aim to provide you extra space on the balloon", so guests can "freely move around in the basket".

How the morning works

The About page describes the team behind the day, "From the chauffeur who picks you up from your hotel and the chef who bakes cookies for you", and says the operations team handles the paperwork while guests have coffee, and that the ground crew "keeps chasing the balloon" to the landing. The reviews quoted on the homepage add detail in guests' words: one describes a 5.05 AM hotel pickup, breakfast with fruit, croissants, coffee and juice at the company's offices, a 10-minute drive to the launch site and a basket "split into 5 sections", with the pilot in the center and 4 corner sections. Another mentions a 6am pickup. These are the guests' accounts, chosen by the company.

The same reviews describe the flights themselves. One guest writes of "an ascent in the dark, sunrise from 1300 metres, low passes through some valleys and over the town", followed by fizz and strawberries after landing; another mentions a view from 900 meters and a champagne celebration at the end. Guests name several pilots, among them Yahya, Izzet, Ibrahim and Selçuk, and one reviewer says there was "plenty of room for the 4 of us to move around and to put our bags on the floor". Another describes being assigned to vans by pilot after breakfast and driven to the launch sites.

What the site leaves open, and who it suits

The site does not show a price for any flight on its homepage or About page, so the cost appears only in the booking flow. It does not summarize the cancellation window, the refund rule or what happens when wind stops a flight, although it links a Terms and Conditions page and offers the self-service booking tool. It does not say how the Brothers Balloon flight is run beyond its basket layout, or what "Second Ascent" means for the departure time.
