Sample experiences on the wedding page include a Bateaux New York Dinner Cruise in New York City, a 12,500ft skydive jump in Boulder City near Las Vegas, and Seattle Space Needle tickets. The homepage FAQ mentions hot air balloon rides, cooking classes, wine tasting, race car driving, scuba diving, street food tours, photography walks, dinner in a glass igloo and a Northern Lights tour in Iceland. How the Gift Works

The eVoucher is delivered instantly after purchase, can carry a personal message and can be sent straight to the recipient anywhere in the world. The physical gift box includes an experience journal, can carry a personalized greeting, and ships worldwide in 2-5 business days, according to the homepage. To book, the recipient signs in to a Tinggly account and, in the site's words, "Simply choose the experience, date, participants and get the confirmation sent to your email." The wedding page adds that couples can save a gift for the honeymoon, a first anniversary or a trip years later, that booking is self-service and done entirely online, and that exchanges are free. Because the same voucher can be redeemed locally or abroad, the site presents it as suitable both for someone at home and for a traveler planning a trip.

Terms, Refunds and Extras

Tinggly repeats its main terms plainly on its main pages. "All Tinggly gift vouchers do not have an expiration date." On refunds: "Email us within 30 days and we will make a refund of the unused gift to the purchaser's account." What the Site Leaves Open, and Who It Suits

The gift boxes promise tens of thousands of experiences, but how many of them are near a particular recipient only shows up when browsing that box by location, so it is worth checking the local selection before buying. The refund covers unused gifts within 30 days of purchase; after that the fallback is an exchange for credit rather than money back. Booking terms for the underlying experience, such as how far ahead a date must be reserved or what happens if the recipient cancels, belong to each listed experience and are not set out on the overview pages. Tinggly suits gift-givers who want to give an experience without choosing the exact activity, especially for weddings, birthdays and anniversaries, and it suits recipients who travel, since the voucher is not tied to one city.
