Skyline Helicopter Tours is a Las Vegas helicopter company that flies its own sightseeing tours, proposal flights, photo flights and party charters. Its headline promise is doors-off flying: the site calls itself "The Only Exclusive Doors-Off Adventure" and says it runs "the only doors-off tours of the Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam & Grand Canyon". The routes it prices itself cover the Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam and the Colorado River, Lake Mead and Valley of Fire State Park. Grand Canyon trips are different: the site says it "offers multiple Grand Canyon Tour Packages through our trusted partner", so those are resold rather than flown by Skyline.

The About page describes its pilots as "experienced" with "many hours of flight experience", says an "exceptional maintenance team" looks after "our helicopter fleet", and claims Skyline is "the only Vegas area helicopter tour operator with a 100% safety record". Those are the company's own statements. One of the Google reviews quoted on the About page mentions flying with "the pilot/owner", which suggests a small outfit, though the site does not say how many helicopters or pilots it has.

The pitch is private flying. The tours and what they cost

Red Rock Canyon is $155 per person for 20 minutes; the site notes the conservation area "covers nearly 200,000 acres in the Mojave Desert".

The VIP Canyon & Strip is $195 per person for about 30 minutes. Its tour page says the pilot heads toward the Spring Mountains, "just five miles from the city limits", past cliffs along the Keystone Thrust with peaks "over 8,000 feet", and lists Calico Hills, Calico Tanks, Icebox Canyon, La Madre Spring, Lost Creek Canyon, Pine Creek Canyon and Spring Mountain Ranch among the sights. The second half crosses the Strip, passing the Stratosphere, the Bellagio Fountains and New York New York, and the page adds that the whole tour can be flown with the doors off.

Hoover Dam & Colorado River is priced at $995 for 3 seats for 60 minutes; the site calls it "hands down the best photo opportunity in the Las Vegas area" and highlights Black Canyon below the dam. The Valley of Fire Private Photo Flight is $1,095 for 3 seats for about 75 minutes. It crosses Hoover Dam and Lake Mead on the way, and the page describes Valley of Fire as "40,000 acres of bright red sandstone outcrops" with petrified trees and "petroglyphs dating back over 2,000 years". How a flight works

Check-in is 30 minutes before the reservation, according to the VIP tour page. For same-day bookings, the chosen departure time is "a preferred request": the page says that because of "flight routing, weather, and passenger weight balancing, your final flight time MAY shift by up to 30 minutes", and that the exact time is confirmed by email and text shortly after booking. Times on the booking calendar are shown in America/Los Angeles time.

The VIP tour page says "every passenger has a window seat". It sets a limit of 300 lbs per seat and 600 lbs for a full group of 3. A standard traveler is anyone over the age of 2 or weighing over 25 lbs, and a lap child is a child both under 2 and under 25 lbs. The Valley of Fire page states the same 300 lb and 600 lb limits for up to 3 passengers.

Add-ons are priced on each tour page. On the VIP tour, a private flight costs $35 extra and requires a minimum of 2 passengers, doors off costs $50 for the first group of up to 3 people with further groups charged at check-in, and a Go-Pro rental is $50. On the Valley of Fire flight the Go-Pro rental is $40. The VIP page lists a $30 airport fee for every 3 people, while the Valley of Fire page lists a $20 airport fee for every group of 3. Gratuities are excluded.

The site does not state a cancellation window, a refund rule, or what happens when weather stops a flight rather than delaying it.
