Luxury small-group touring from the TTC family

Luxury Gold runs its own guided multi-day journeys with a Travel Concierge on every departure, pitched at the top end of the market. Its header places it in the "TTC Portfolio of Brands", and the homepage presents "Luxury Gold, brought to you by Uniworld". With Uniworld it also sells combined Cruise & Tour journeys, promising "magnificent stays, exceptional dining, personalized concierge service", and the menu carries a River Cruises section. The European site prices in euros and lists an Irish phone line, 00353 1 775 3838. Tours named on the site run in South Africa (with an optional Victoria Falls extension), Italy, Canada, Ireland, Scandinavia, Switzerland, and Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos, and the "Passport Moments" strip also shows Spain and Egypt. The homepage claims "100+ Years of Travel Expertise" without saying whose history that figure counts.

Every tour page repeats the same promise: "Small Group Tours, 18 Guests On Average". The FAQ puts it the same way, "an average of 18 guests", and adds that the small groups suit solo travelers. It gives no maximum.

The journeys and their prices

The tour cards show a "from" price per person, often against a higher crossed-out price:

  • Spectacular South Africa, 9 days, 6 cities, 19 meals, "Balanced" activity level, from €10,860. It covers Cape Town with a sunset on Table Mountain over the Twelve Apostles, a choice of the Old Biscuit Mill market or the District Six Museum, which the page describes as a memorial to the 60,000 inhabitants forced to relocate after Apartheid destroyed the area, Robben Island with lunch alongside former prison guard Christo Brand, a farm-to-table lunch at Boschendal Wine Estate, and a private open-air safari in Kruger National Park "in search of the Big Five", led by professional trackers. A version with Victoria Falls adds a night in Johannesburg and 2 nights at the falls, shown from €13,401 as a 2027 "Greater Rewards Offer".
  • Ultimate Italy, 12 days, 12 cities, 2 countries, 19 meals, "Dynamic" activity level, from €9,349 (was €10,099). It runs from "the pastel-hued villages of the Ligurian Coast" through Florence and Rome, then sails to Capri to see the Faraglioni Rocks, with Michelin-starred dining over the Gulf of Naples, Giotto's frescoes in Assisi with a local historian, a cooking class in Tuscany and an after-hours visit to the Doge's Palace in Venice.
  • Majesty of the Rockies, 9 days, 8 cities, 15 meals, "Balanced", from €9,199 (was €9,699), including the Rocky Mountaineer train in GoldLeaf Service, a glacier walk, canyon hikes, stays in what the page calls "the most luxurious mountain retreats", and a meeting with Matricia of Warrior Women in the Yellowhead Region, plus a meal at Salmon N' Bannock, a restaurant "owned and operated by members of Canada's First Nations".
  • Ultimate Ireland, 11 days, 2 countries, from €7,149 (was €7,899).
  • Timeless Scandinavia, 12 days, 3 countries, from €8,649 (was €9,399).
  • Majestic Switzerland, 10 days, 2 countries, from €9,999.
  • Inspiring Cambodia, Vietnam & Laos, 16 days, 3 countries, from €7,515.

What every journey includes

The tour pages list "Inclusive Luxury Gold Services". The Travel Concierge provides "personal assistance throughout your journey", from "securing exclusive reservations, to organising transportation". Local Expert Guides join "in select destinations". In-room porterage is included at all hotels, and "hotel taxes, porterage and tips, as well as tips for included dining experiences, are included". Breakfast is served every morning, with other meals as listed per tour, and on days marked "Relaxed Start" guests can take complimentary breakfast in bed. Hotel Wi-Fi is free, with onboard Wi-Fi on select coaches.

Airport transfers have a date split worth noting. For 2026 departures, transfers are included on the first and last day and for extra nights booked through Luxury Gold. "From 2027 onwards, transfers will be included when your flights are reserved through Luxury Gold." Each tour also offers "Personalise Your Day, With Included Choices", which the FAQ describes as the option to shape days around personal interests. Walking levels are handled through the activity rating shown at the top of each tour, with a separate explanation page.

Booking, departures and loyalty

Travelers choose a departure, add guests and pick a room type online, or call a Booking Concierge. Extra hotel nights can be added before or after a tour. A departure marked "Definite Departure" has reached its minimum number of guests "and will definitely run, barring any extraordinary circumstances"; others are "still very likely to run" while the company waits for bookings, and the page says guests will be contacted about any changes. Past guests of any of the group's brands get a discount through the Global Tour Rewards loyalty program: after entering passenger details, they confirm the name and approximate date of the earlier trip, and the discount is applied before booking. The FAQ describes the Travel Concierge's role as helping guests "build an understanding of new places" while offering "personalised touches throughout". Travel agents have their own login, and the site has brochures to request and regional versions for the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Asia. The footer links Booking Conditions, a Tour Deposit Level page, travel insurance and travel updates.

On sustainability, every tour includes at least one "MAKE TRAVEL MATTER" experience tied to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the company cites a 4-point climate action plan aimed at net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and a 5-year sustainability strategy, and its not-for-profit TreadRight Foundation invests in nature-based climate projects. The site also says each tour supports local communities through visits to family-run businesses, UNESCO sites and places of cultural significance.

What the site leaves open, and who it suits

The tour pages do not state the deposit amount, payment schedule or cancellation terms; those sit on the Booking Conditions and Tour Deposit Level pages. The group size is an average, not a cap.

Luxury Gold suits travelers who want a fully arranged, high-end guided trip with meals, tips and porterage covered, a small group and someone on hand to make reservations. The published itineraries, with named experiences on each tour, make it easy to compare what the price buys.
